I will be appearing on two different panel discussions with other artists, authors and cartoonists this coming weekend.
Saturday March 18th, at the Middletown Public Library Artist Café: Spotlight on Music and Art 2-4PM. Along with a number of other artists, musicians, and writers from Monmouth County, I will be showing off my work and participating in a panel conversation moderated by the library.
Sunday March 19th, at Books of Wonder in Manhattan, Great Graphic Novels panel 3PM. I’ll be appearing with other kidlit graphic novel creators Magdalene Visaggio and Jenn St-Onge and Matt Tavares. This is a thrill, I love Books of Wonder, and am really looking forward to being part of an in-person conversation there.
Lincoln Elementary School
I squeezed in one more Read Across America school visit last week, going up to Hasbrouck Heights to speak to all the 3-5 Graders there. This was a perfect day, a large assembly that went extremely well, followed by a special cartooning workshop for a group of fourth-graders who’d entered a lottery to come spend their lunch and recess time with me rather than their friends. Here are a few photos from the assembly, followed by one of me at the workshop, attempting to high-five thirty kids.
Thank-you so much to Cynthia Capozzi and the Lincoln Elementary School PTA for making this all happen.
I’ve put together a gallery on my Author Visits website, featuring a picture from each of the schools I’ve been out to speak at. Check that out here.
